Non-urgent advice: Night and Weekend Calls
Opening hours of the surgery are 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday.
If you suffer from a genuine medical emergency which is not life threatening, and requires treatment when the surgery is closed, you should telephone NHS 111, where you will be triaged, and may be offered an appointment at the extended access surgery.
This information is also on the recorded message if you ring the surgery number out of working hours.
Non-urgent advice: Evening and Weekend Appointments
The option of getting an evening or weekend appointment is available
through the Sunderland Extended Access Services.
There are five ‘hubs’ across the city including Washington and they are open 6:00pm – 8:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am – 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday.
They are also open on Bank Holidays too! Appointments in these hubs can be booked through the practice or 111.
Non-urgent advice: Out of Hours
Whatever the time of day, if you or someone else experiences any of the following
– severe chest pain
– loss of blood
– suspected broken bones
go to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999.
